Well, we have come to the conclusion that perhaps, and, this is just a theory, maybe , we have slihgtly over played Sweet Child O Mine. We have now started writing our own stuff and things are comin together quite well with new members. we miss richy though. Hopin to do a 90% fresh set at our next gig but we will see.
We also, as you will have noticed have got lots of pic up on the site now which are pretty good.
John got new cymbals and a new snare drum which are all ded good. Also, he is gonna get a new kit so the whole band can benifite from his spending spree.
Ely is planning on going to Belize with WORLD CHALLENGE so will be hoping to raise fund for that as they rip you off somethin awful. Support at all the gigs would really help. Or just giving her money.
Perhaps some of the most famouse music in the world;"Antonio Vivaldi's" the four seasons. PLayed as background music to any occasion imaginable and music that made Vivaldi a household name throughout the world. In short, vivaldi was born in venice in 1678 and died in viena(as a priest)in 1741.He was raised around classical music with his father being a violinist. It comes as no surprise therefore that his instrument of choice would also be the violin. sadly the wonderful scores of the four seasons, which made italy rejoice, were lost for over two hundred years in a library in turin.after discovery the four seasons after dicovery, the works were not then published for another 25 years.this time the world rejoiced.
Autumn of the four seasons (or opus No.8) is split into three movemnts.A short adagio molto sction provides a peacful break forboth audience and performer, between two long and exhausting allegro movements.Throughout both the player is kept buisy in both the left and right hands with decorated tuti sections (in which orchestra and soloist must play strictly in unison)folowed by flamboiant cadenzas in which similar themes are developed and elaborated on. The first difficulty for the soloist arises at bar fourteen of movement one. When atempting this myself,i encountered great difficulty as the so far established melody is to be played in major thirds. This on the violin obviously requires double stoping. However it is not aparent at first that the only solution to this is to change position between second and third whilst at the same time slightly adjusting the fourth finger of the left hand.To make these shifts accurately and stay perfectly in tune is extremely difficult to the most dexterouse of players and is a problem which i have still not entirely ironed out. Moving on to the second solo violin section,i encountered a passage which is not very technicaly demanding but is
